Certificate for Reading

The Children Reading Camp recognizes the hard work and dedication of its best readers by giving them certificates and story books. These awards serve as a token of appreciation for the children who have shown exceptional reading skills and a love for books.

In addition to the certificates, the best readers also receive school supplies to further encourage their passion for reading. The story books are carefully selected to cater to the interests and reading levels of the children, ensuring that they continue to be engaged and motivated to read.

Children's reading camp is designed to promote literacy, love for reading among  children. The reading camp typically takes place during school holidays and aim to provide an engaging and fun environment that encourages children to explore books, improve their reading skills, and develop a lifelong habit of reading.

The camp addresses literacy challenges, especially in communities where access to books and educational resources may be limited. 

The reading camp often involve a variety of activities such as storytelling sessions, book clubs, reading challenges, creative writing, and themed activities related to books and reading. Children Reading Camp 2024

We believe that if we can help children to learn reading and words, their meanings and how to use them in sentences, then they will be able to understand concepts better and therefore pass standardized exams and be able to stay in school longer.

Our desire is to create a learning environment for our children as well as give them an opportunity to dream. 

We do this through providing them with reading spaces that have our set of fully illustrated positive reading, around the values of Character, Responsibility, Excellence, Empathy Discipline and Leadership. 

We believe that words change the world, and through an exposure to reading, they will be able to increase their reading skills on one hand, while on the other hand, the words will enable them develop a positive attitude towards life, that they will need as they grow. #Reading Camp 2024

Porridge

Children Porridge Program is an initiative aimed at providing nutritious meals to vulnerable children in Uganda. 

The program distributes and serves porridge to children in impoverished communities, schools, and children's home to help combat malnutrition and improve their overall health and well-being.

CatchUp literacy program

The Children Reachout Uganda after School Catch Up literacy program is designed to help children improve their reading and writing skills outside of school hours. The program provides students with additional support and personalized instruction to help them catch up with their peers in terms of literacy.

Through the program, children are given access to books, educational materials, and one-on-one tutoring to help them improve their reading comprehension, vocabulary, and writing abilities. The program also incorporates fun and engaging activities to make learning enjoyable for the children.

The goal of the Children Reachout Uganda after School Catch Up literacy program is to equip children with the necessary literacy skills to succeed in school and in life. By providing them with the extra support they need, the program aims to improve their academic performance and boost their confidence in their abilities.

After School/Catch Up Program

Our classes provide a vital opportunity for academic reinforcement and support. These classes are designed to bridge educational gaps, offering personalized attention to children who may have fallen behind due to various reasons such as illness, lack of resources, or disruptions in their schooling.

Led by dedicated teachers, the catch-up classes aim to enhance children’s understanding of core subjects like math, science, and literacy, ensuring they have a solid foundation for future learning. Beyond academics, these sessions also foster a supportive environment where children can build confidence, ask questions, and receive encouragement.

Happy Tummies, Happy Hearts, together with Rainbow International School Students we hosted a special lunch for children with special needs. It is such a heartworm experience to see the smiles on their faces as they enjoyed their meal and spent time together.
