AfterSchool Program

We are convinced that education enhances children’s well-being, provides them with a better chance in life, helps to break the cycle of poverty, and improves the lives of their children and families, as well. Moreover,  education contributes to the economic development of the community.

We know that every parent wants the best for their child’s future. Sometimes, in a world filled with distractions and challenges, finding the right support system can make all the difference. From education, mentorship, homework assistance, and tutoring to encouraging higher grades and boosting motivation to team-building activities and cooperative learning experiences that help develop essential social skills, our programs are designed to empower kids to unlock their potential and thrive.

Volunteer facilitators

Volunteer facilitators are at the forefront of Children Reachout Uganda's vision of connecting children, families, and communities.

They make a long-term commitment to run a Literacy Program in the community. Volunteer facilitators are integral to supporting children and families to build relationships, and life skills through the Literacy Program.

Volunteers serve as companions for children and families along their grief journeys, and we couldn’t do it without them. Help children find hope and healing through one of our rewarding volunteer opportunities.

After school program

As you may be aware, opportunities for quality after-school activities are crucial for the holistic development of children, especially those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Unfortunately, children with special needs face even greater challenges due to limited resources and suitable programs that cater to their unique requirements.

we aim to establish a comprehensive after-school program that will focus on providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for less privileged children, including those with various special needs.

Through a range of activities such as educational support, arts ,crafts and other life skills training speaking, listening and writing  we aspire to empower these children by promoting their physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth. #ChildrenWithSpecialNeedsHeroesToo #EveryChildMatters

International Day of the Girl Child 2023

International Day of the Girl Child is marked every year on 11 October. The day focuses attention on the need to address the challenges girls face, promoting girls’ empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights. We celebrate International Day of the Girl Child to amplify the message that girls have the right to a safe, educated, and healthy life during their formative years and as they mature into women.

Why do we celebrate it?

Girls face distinct
disadvantages for being both young and female. Around 129 million girls around the world are out of school and less than 40% of countries provide girls and boys with equal access to education.

Children Reachout Uganda believes that investing in girl’s education not only equips girls with skills and knowledge to grow and prosper, but it helps their families, and the wider community to thrive as well. Girls who stay in school are more likely to support themselves, look after their health, avoid early marriage and pregnancy and contribute to society.

The theme of International Day of the Girl 2023 is

"INVEST IN GIRLS' RIGHTS: OUR LEADERSHIP, OUR WELL-BEING".
