Creative Thinking

Today we started another program which focuses on creating and thinking critically – one of the characteristics of effective teaching and learning, so crucial to early learning.

Children can be able to freely explore their ideas, and seek confidence in providing these opportunities, as well as challenging their own creative thinking. This program gives them a wonderful opportunity to delve deeper into creative thinking and learning and examine what it means in practice. Results can strongly impact children and their communities.

Creativity is mainly about finding alternative possibilities of how to come up with new and useful ideas. A new idea might be a new theory, product, solution to a problem, story or conception for a piece of art.

Education is a right

We believe that when you invest in one child, there is a ripple effect that touches that child’s family, community and ultimately the world. Every Community Child In School

WHY CHILDREN? Every community child has the right to education unfortunately “One in five children are still out of primary school, and enrolment for other stages of education is even lower. Only 28% of children get to attend secondary school and only 13.4% are enrolled in vital pre-primary education. Children with disabilities are particularly at risk of missing out on learning, with only 9% able to attend primary school. In Kampala, 87.8% of children are enrolled in primary education, “according to save the children” this was before Covid-19

David comes from UK, He is a full time professional Badminton Coach for the last 22 years, Coached in several countries including Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and France. 

Since 2007 David Fletcher has been coming to Uganda regularly to supply badminton equipment, repairing rackets and helping our children develop both their skills and knowledge of the game. 

Badminton is fun sport in which both girls and boys can play and complete,

David has dedicated is life on introducing the game to the invisible Ugandan children in the communities #Yonex

Younger children are especially at risk from violence as they're less able to speak up and seek support and it can cause irreversible damage to their development. Gender, Disability, Poverty or National or Ethnic origin are some of the risk factors that can place children at high risk of violence.
