School Supplies

Millions of children in schools in Uganda do not have adequate school supplies.  They lack the basic school supplies because their families live below the bread line.  Their parents do not have adequate resources to take care of them and cover all school related costs etc.  

This is the stark reality.  As you would imagine, in such a situation, when the parents have to decide between putting food on the table and buying school books or school supplies, the more pressing need of food/survival rightly wins over.

The sad consequence of this is that the children go to school with inadequate or no supplies.  Some of them are not able to perform simple tasks like read or study from a textbook, take notes with a pencil or write in their notebooks.  Even the best teacher will be hindered if the children and the classroom do not have the needed supplies or resources. 

The education that children will receive in such an environment will be grossly inadequate and a far cry from being empowering and enabling.  Better supplies and a supportive environment will result in a higher quality education.

Summary: By helping today to provide books and school supplies, you are helping to increase the quality of the education that the children receive.  This will have a long-lasting impact on their lives.  There is no greater gift that we can give to the next generation.

Fundraising Campaign

Children ReachOut Fundraising scholastic material campaign in partnership with #CapitalShoppers 

Under our objective “Advancement of education with a particular focus on children”. We carry out a project to Promote Access to Education through provision for Scholastic need that including Books, Pencils, Pens, Geometry Sets, Toilet Papers, Sanitary Pads, Shoes, Uniforms and School Bags to 200 children, from impoverished families in 3 (three) different Communities and we believe that by donating the above mentioned basic essential needs and school requirements will be of great value and support to enable the children learn better, happier and confidently.

The Campaign Background  

It is fact as a result of a big number of people facing poverty in our target communities, that several children in urban primary and secondary schools have become vulnerable to basic essential school need and requirements, that has led to failure to access education and drop outs.

General outcomes:  

• Children will be able to attend and encouraged to stay in school

• We will have scholastic materials for the children. 

• Children will get essential needs through donated items like school bags and school shoes.  

Children will gain confidence and be happy at school, thus uplifting their performances 

This Campaign has been successful since we started in 2016. Over 250 children benefit from this campaign every year, with the help of supporting individual partners, companies, and the community who participated actively at all stages of implementation from fundraising space, distribution and words of inspiration . We thank you very much for the relentless support and encouragement every time we knock at your doors.

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year when we celebrate Faith, Family, and Friends, and the tradition of giving gifts and sending out Christmas greetings it’s an easy way to reach friends and family as well as care for people we don’t know is another way of celebrating Christmas, it helps us appreciate Love, Hope in our lives we often take for granted 

Christmas, Children hold a special place in our Hearts and this Christmas is one of our favorite ways of reaching out to many children and their families in the invisible communities, we always surprise the community with Christmas #Hampers, so that they have a story to tell about Christmas

Children Christmas Party

This year will mark the 13th Anniversary of Children Reachout Uganda's continued support of the annual Children’s Christmas Experience. This year the event is going to be different we are going to celebrate it with special needs children as we sing, play, eat and share gifts.
